PLCEditorGatewayServer by SEW‑EURODRIVE GmbH & Co. KG is a background communication service that links SEW’s PLC programming environment (PLC Editor) to target controllers and drives. It acts as a gateway between the engineering PC and field devices, enabling device discovery, online sessions, application transfer, and real‑time monitoring and diagnostics with minimal user interaction. Typically installed on Windows as part of SEW’s engineering toolchain, it centralizes and manages connections so engineers can reliably access multiple devices and networks from a single workstation.
